How it starts
Order
Online, on the order page: one eWatt Reader for each property.
We check the meters
eWatt checks that each electricity meter is suitable and asks the network company to open its HAN port.
Delivery
The Readers are posted to you, ready to plug in.
Plug it in
About five minutes per property. No electrician and no site visit.
Data and findings
A reading every 10 seconds from the first day. Findings the next day: the likely cause, what to do, and what it costs.

eWatt Reader
A small device next to the electricity meter. It reads the meter and sends the data straight to the eWatt service.
Plug in and done
An RJ11 cable into the meter's HAN port, in about five minutes. No electrician, no installation.
Powered by the meter
The reader takes its power from the meter. No separate power supply, no socket.
Its own SIM card
Connects over the mobile network. No Wi-Fi, no building network, no IT integration.
10-second accuracy
Short peaks and anomalies don't disappear into 15-minute averages.
Encrypted connection
Data travels encrypted and is stored to EU and Finnish requirements. The data is always the customer's.
Maintenance-free
Once it is plugged in there is nothing to do: no batteries to change, no settings to adjust.
Questions about pricing
What is the price for?
The price is per property you monitor. Each property gets one eWatt Reader on its electricity meter, and all prices are excluding VAT.
A large portfolio, an integration with your own systems or another custom need is Enterprise, priced by quote. Contact sales.
What does the order include?
An order includes an eWatt Reader for each property, the meter check, delivery, and getting the service running. It costs a one-time device fee of €290 per property, less from 11 properties, and a service opening fee of €590, charged only once per customer. Prices exclude VAT.
The one-time fees are invoiced at the end of the first month, together with the monthly fees.
How is the monthly fee billed?
At the end of the first month comes one invoice: the device fees, the opening fee and the monthly fees for 12 months. If you return the eWatt Readers within the first month, there is no invoice.
How long is the contract?
The contract runs for 12 months. It renews automatically 12 months at a time. To end it, tell eWatt in writing at least 30 days before the current 12 months are up.
The eWatt Reader remains eWatt's property and is returned within 30 days of the contract ending. It is under warranty for as long as you use it.
What if my meter's HAN port is closed?
eWatt checks that each electricity meter is suitable and asks the network company to open its HAN port, before the eWatt Readers are delivered. You do not need to do anything.
The pricing page lists the meter models the eWatt Reader works with. If yours is not there, ask sales before you order.
